EXITREALTY.COM CORPORATE WEBSITE UPDATE
IDX Feeds are being set up across the US with our Brokerages to be included on our newly renovated www.exitrealty.com site. Some EXIT Realty offices have wondered why each office in a particular MLS may be required to pay licensing, set up, or other fees for the IDX feed. In order to be included on the corporate site search results, an office has to have an individual URL on our site like exit-realty-deaton-group.ar509.exitrealty.com. MLS rules and regulations require that each office displaying listings have such a unique URL and thus fees may be billed by, and payable directly to, the MLS boards. Whether or not these fees are charged, and if they are charged by your board on a per-office basis, vary from board to board. If you have questions, please contact idx@exitrealty.com.

In other news you may have seen the recent article in Inman News NAR may suspend real estate franchisor IDX listing display rule. Whatever the work group decides, our site is in a perfect position to utilize optimal functionality either way. As it stands, the change in Franchisor IDX display rules is so new, development is not yet complete for this functionality. If the work group were to decide to repeal this ruling, our site would be compliant in its current state. If the work group decides to leave the current ruling in place, our development is poised to benefit from this in the near future.

SO YOU'RE ON FACEBOOK - NOW WHAT?

You've been on Facebook for awhile. You have a few friends (a mix of business and personal) and you're thinking there may be more you can do to promote yourself. Follow these 11 tips from EXIT Realty Approved Supplier Obeo to launch your Facebook marketing to the next level.

  1. Make and organize your Friend Lists. Create Lists and categorize friends in lists like “Clients”, “Family” “Referral Group” etc.
  2. Set Security Features based on Friend Lists. Share personal family photos with your close friends list, but you might not want your client list to see these.
  3. Connect! Upload a data file of email contacts and send each one an invite to connect.
  4. Be Consistent. Post every day, 2-3 times a day.
  5. Control who sees each post! Using friend lists, control which lists see each post you make.
  6. Mix it up! Use photos, video, songs, and links.
