Some EXIT Realty offices have wondered why each office in a particular MLS may be required to pay licensing, set up, or other fees for the IDX feed. In order to be included on the corporate site search results, an office has to have an individual URL on our site like exit-realty-deaton-group.ar509.exitrealty.com. MLS rules and regulations require that each office displaying listings have such a unique URL and thus fees may be billed by, and payable directly to, the MLS boards. Whether or not these fees are charged, and if they are charged by your board on a per-office basis, vary from board to board. If you have questions, please contact idx@exitrealty.com. Whatever the work group decides, our site is in a perfect position to utilize optimal functionality either way. As it stands, the change in Franchisor IDX display rules is so new, development is not yet complete for this functionality. If the work group were to decide to repeal this ruling, our site would be compliant in its current state.
