Let’s Start 2011 on the Right Track

 
 

As we begin a new year, let’s affirm that we will have a productive, successful year professionally. Let’s affirm a joyous, peaceful year personally. And let’s focus on those activities which will move us forward and minimize the time we spend putting out fires. If one of your resolutions is to get more organized, now is the time to do it. It’s time to be discerning and keeping on top of what EXIT is doing and has to offer should be at the top of your priority list. As an Administrator, you need to keep current, and as a resource for your agents, you need to know what is available to them. Be aware of the monthly webinars EXIT Head Office has to offer, free of charge, and promote their attendance in your brokerage.

We hope you set aside some time every first Wednesday of the month to attend the Administrator Webinar at 11am ET. This session is for Administrators, Managers, Franchisees, Regional Owners, Regional Admins, and Brokers and is by invitation only. This particular webinar is not saved to the EXIT Resource Center (ERC) because of the confidential nature of the content so there is no option to view it after the fact. However, this newsletter is sent out within a week or so of the webinar in order to get the information to you in the event you can’t attend the webinar. Attendance is still optimal because you have the benefit of hearing questions and comments from other participants which provides an opportunity to learn from each other.

The monthly Associate Webinar is held the second Wednesday of each month at 12pm ET. Seasoned professionals present exciting topics designed to grow your business and increase your professional knowledge and skill. These webinars are published to the ERC for 24/7 viewing. How about creating a sales meeting around these sessions, either live or after the fact? Make sure your agents know they are welcome to invite prospects to this webinar; they can use it as a recruiting tool to display the level of knowledge and commitment EXIT makes to its associates.

The monthly Broker Webinar is held the third Wednesday of each month at 12pm ET. Experienced presenters share information about how to build a productively successful brokerage, attract and retain top producers, maintain professionalism, and outflank the competition. This webinar is also published to the ERC for future viewing. Regional Owners, Franchisees, and Brokers are invited to attend this session.

Do you speak tech? While social networking is forcing many of us into upgrading our technical skills, the tech industry is progressing so quickly, it can not only be hard to keep up, but difficult to know where to start or what to focus on. EXIT’s monthly Techinar, held the fourth Wednesday of each month at 12pm ET is full of information designed to help your associates use technology to promote and grow their business. Regional Owners, Franchisees, Brokers, Associates, and Admins are welcome to attend this session.

The invitation to the above webinars is emailed out a few days beforehand to all potential attendees – just click the Register button to reserve your spot. The email contains a link so make sure to check your SPAM folder. Attending these sessions is one way to make good use of your time. Spread the word to your associates as well!

11 Ways to Make 2011 Great!

Everyone starts the new year full of optimism and good intentions.  If you really want to take charge and own this year long after the initial enthusiasm for your New Year's Resolutions wears off, follow these tips from EXIT Realty's US President, Tami Bonnell:

1 Make a commitment.  The best way to keep a commitment is to share it.

2 It only takes an extra minute to go from reactive to responsive to proactive. Take the minute to focus on what you want the end result to be. You will win more and lead more every day.

3 Take time every morning to plan your day.

4 Take a moment before each appointment and event to plan what you would like the outcome to be. You get what you focus on.

5 Participate in one new event every month, for example a Board of REALTORS® event, Chamber of Commerce etc.

6 Review your business plan and do a 6 week action plan monthly.

7 Participate in your office and in your community.

8 Remember to be grateful - it is one of the best things you can do for your health.

9 Pay it forward.  What you give out always comes back to you.

10 Remember first impressions are lasting impressions - make the most of yours. Perception is reality; ask a few people you trust for their honest perception of you.

11 Surround yourself with great people.
