The Austin, TX chapter of Habitat for Humanity welcomed EXIT regional owners from all across the United States for the 12th EXIT Habitat Build which had a blitz week from January 15th til January 17th. Jean Marie Grumbles, Mike Grumbles representing Tennessee and Kentucky) joined with other regional owners from Southern California, Ohio, Montana, Pennsylvania, Georgia, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Texas, and beyond to lend a helping hand and build a house for a local family in need. To assist and show support of the regional owners was staff from EXIT Realty Corporate including Tami Bonnell, President US Operations, Erika Gileo, Sr. VP of Operations, and Chrinstine Ireborg, Graphics and HFH coordinator.

The weekend was rewarding as the weather changed for the better and the house is now dry. The Trusses were all manually lifted atop the walls, set in place and the roof as sheathed and wrapped Siding was installed and the Doors and windows were installed. This was quite a transformation in just a few hours each day, but the future homeowner was working right along side us and showed her gratitude for the assistance we were providing.

Look for more photos to follow. The work was rewarding and the people that we met were astounding. It has been a great opportunity and we can't wait to share more about it.
